小女儿新学期开始参加了学校的演讲辩论队(Speech & debate), 她开学后几个周末都在准备和参加演讲辩论比赛，比赛从小区域开始到州及全国比赛，有十几场，层层淘汰，费时费力。
这周末，辨论比赛己进行到第二阶段，叫package deal, 有南加州十个高中，200多高中生参加，一整天经过4轮决胜负。小女儿前2天感冒了，嗓子这几天一直痛，本以为参加不了比赛，但昨天服用了苹果醋酸及用苹果醋漱口后，恢复很快，早上嗓子明显好转，使得女儿当天顺利从三轮演讲及最后辨论比赛中胜出，得了此次比赛一等奖(共14人获奖)。无独有偶，大女儿五年前参加这个比赛也获了一等奖，姐妹情深，小女儿比完赛回家路上就电话告诉了大女儿，姐姐为她高兴，也希望她能青于蓝而胜于蓝。
一分耕耘，一分收获，小孩就是在这些一点一滴的努力中成长，而这每一点滴的努力也会成为小孩成长中的美好回忆。
